Once you have already made the decision that you want to commission a portrait of your furry friend, please contact me with your idea via my e-mail portraits5.art@gmail.com or you can fill in my commission form here. Please also share if you have any special occasion and deadlines like birthday or anniversary.
We will negotiate my availability and I will do my best to adapt my schedule to fit in your special occasion deadline.
2. Dimensions and Prices
I create portraits drawn with graphite pencils, colored pencils and soft pastels. I draw mainly four different portrait sizes - 25x35cm/10x14inches, 35x50cm/14x20inches, 50x70cm/20x28inches, 70x100cm/28x40inches, but It's not impossible to create a portrait according your specific dimensions requirements. The choice of size and orientation(vertical or horizontal) of the portrait may vary according to the number of pets you want to be in your portrait, the photos you are able to afford and your budget. You can also choose whether you would like a head and shoulders portrait or a full body portrait. All these important details have to be discussed and negotiated before starting the drawing process.

3. Photos
I recommend to choose a clean and sharp photograph. More than wonderful is to send more than one photo.
The photos are one of the most important conditions for drawing a pet portrait of high quality. Don’t crop the photos and don’t send screenshots. The face of each animal will be drawn in the same way as it is in the photo. In order to draw a beautiful portrait in high quality, I need a suitable photo of each pet(there is no issue if you provide different photos when we have more than 1 pets for 1 only portrait).
Please look for a photo/s which is:
➢ big, clear, and in high quality
➢ not cropped (there is no issue if there are other objects in the photo)
➢ not a screenshot
➢ not too dark
➢ not blurred
When choosing photos of the animal(s) which will be drawn on the portrait, there are some key things to keep in mind:
➢ to be your photo light enough to be your pet visible
➢ to be visible the true eye color of your pet
➢ to be visible the true fur color of your pet
➢ to be visible the pet's fur direction in details
4. Payment
Once I have seen your photographs and we have discussed and negotiated all the details concerning your portrait, you are ready to place your order. Payment is made half before I start the drawing process, and half after the portrait is ready. You have two options for payment:
✔ by bank transfer
✔ credit/debit card via Paypal
The portrait will not be started until the first 50% of the payment is complete.
5. Progress
Once I have started the drawing process you will receive updates about my work progress.
I post my portraits during the art process and after they are finished on all of my social networks profiles and here on my website. Kindly, please don't forget to mention if you would prefer me to not post on social media, in case that could spoil a surprise gift.
6. Completion & Shipping
When the portrait is ready, I will email you a photo for your approval. At this stage I may be able to make some minor adjustments upon your full satisfaction of the finished portrait. You need to pay the second half of the amount and your portrait will then be securely wrapped, packaged and shipped out to you via Bulgarian Post.
